Our Office Policies

Appointments

We know you have many choices when choosing a Dentist so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible. Our office offers same day emergency appointments. We send reminder cards and usually call to confirm appointments. There are emergencies and circumstances beyond everyone’s control and we understand, just call. A $50 fee is assessed for a missed appointment and possibly for a cancellation without 24 hours notice.

Insurance and Billing

We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Warrington Dental does not participate in Health Management Organizations; however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.

If we participate with your insurance company, you are responsible for the deductible and co-pay based on their fee allowance. The balance between the Doctor’s private fee and the insurance allowance is written off. We expect payment at the time of your visit, and your co-pay is calculated as accurately as possible. Until a claim is processed there is no guarantee of the amount. We will reimburse you for over-payment and bill you for an additional amounts due. If there is a problem with a claim, we will investigate. For extensive treatment, we suggest filing a “pre¬determination claim” so that coverage can be established before treatment. It is your responsibility to know your coverage. We will assist you whenever possible. If you have secondary insurance, we will file that claim for you and payment will go directly to you.

Most insurance companies will cover an amalgam (Silver) filling on a back tooth, and have an allowance for a resin/composite. The difference between the two fees is your responsibility, and co-pays are based on the amalgam. If your insurance policy does not have an allowance for a resin filling, the difference between their amalgam allowance and the private fee is your responsibility. This depends on your particular policy, and we try to establish coverage in advance. Dr. Motwani uses porcelain fused to metal for a crown on a back tooth. Some insurance policies will only cover a full cast restoration, but have an allowance for porcelain and the difference between the two allowances is your responsibility.

An account is considered delinquent when we have not received a payment within 60 days. Once an account is 90 days overdue we transfer the account to our attorney for collection assistance. We offer an interest free payment plan through CareCredit for financial assistance. A $20 fee is assessed for a returned check and remaining payments must be made with a credit card or cash.
